Career and Technical Education Student Investments

As part of our Future Ready Fund, PEP invites you to invest in students who are on their journey to reach thier full potential!

Why Invest in CTE Students?

The Putnam Education Partnership (PEP) Foundation is proud to expand its commitment to student success by launching a dedicated fund to support students participating in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). This initiative is designed to remove financial barriers that prevent students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs from accessing invaluable experiences such as regional, state, and national competitions.

CTSO competitions, including organizations like HOSA, TSA, DECA, FFA, FCCLA, and Skills USA, offer students real-world, hands-on opportunities to develop leadership, technical expertise, teamwork, and industry-specific skills. These events often serve as a gateway to scholarships, internships, and post-secondary pathways that can shape a student's future career.

Unfortunately, the cost of travel, lodging, registration fees, and professional attire can make participation inaccessible for some students and their families. The PEP Foundation’s new fund aims to ensure equitable access by helping ease the cost burden of these essential expenses, allowing all qualifying students the chance to compete, grow, and represent their schools and communities with pride.

Investing in CTSO students is an investment in the future of Putnam County. These students are our emerging workforce! Future healthcare professionals, business leaders, engineers, skilled tradespeople, and educators. Supporting their growth not only enhances individual achievement but also builds a stronger, more prepared, and more innovative local economy.

By helping students take the next step in their professional development, we are cultivating talent, boosting confidence, and showing them that our community believes in their potential.
